Where are files saved to when you download a file in Google Chrome?

Files that you download on Google Chrome are saved in a hidden folder called "Downloads", which is located in your personal profile folder.

To find where the Downloads folder is located, follow these steps:

Go to the main Chrome menu at the top right of your browser window. Click Settings.

Click Show advanced settings. Under "Downloads", click Change default save location. Choose a new location for downloads, or click Make Default to use the last-used location.

Now, any file you download from the internet will be saved in the new location that you specified.

How can you boost Google Chrome speed?

Google Chrome is a great web browser, but it can also be a little slow. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of Google Chrome.

Clear your cache regularly

Google Chrome uses your computer's RAM to store information on pages you visit frequently. This speeds up loading time when you revisit those websites. However, if you have a lot of tabs open or if your computer doesn't have much RAM, this can slow down your system and make it run slower overall. If this is the case for you, try clearing your cache regularly and see if that helps speed things up on your end.

To clear your cache, go to "Settings" then select "Advanced" and click "Clear Browsing Data." From there, choose what type of data you want cleared (cookies, history and saved passwords are some common choices) and click "Clear Data." This will remove the cached information from all the websites you've visited recently so they'll load more slowly next time around.

Turn off hardware acceleration

Hardware acceleration makes animations smoother in Google Chrome by using your computer's graphics processor (GPU). However, if you're not using a high-end laptop or desktop with an Nvidia or AMD graphics card, it can cause your website surfing to be slower.

Note that due to browser limitation (battery concern), the timer can only run every at least one minute, and may even be delayed further at browser's discretion.
